Yes I do. I expect a competetive and close fight. Klein needs to press Bahamondes back and get inside the pocket and mix in cage work and grappling, all of which he's shown he's capable and willing to do before.
Bahamondes has the reach and a bit more slick striking at range so he will get the first shots off in every exchange. So it comes down to can Klein be a dog and absorb shots to get inside or feint his way in. I expect Bahamondes grappling to be tested at some point during the fight and I expect Klein's chin will get tested as well.
That said both of them have a chance to find a KO here, Bahamondes eats a lot dmg as well for as good of a striker as he is and he has a lot of scar tissue so there's a good chance his face gets bloodied.

@gliese58i

I think the main disadvantages of Klein will not let him win this fight.
1. Small volume. He really spends a lot of time just aiming instead of striking. Unlike Ignacio, whose volume and long range are the main weapons. In reality, Ignacio does 2 times more per fight than Ludovite.
2. Poor cardio. I think he has such a bad volume due to the fact that he has poor cardio and he constantly saves it.
3. Bad grappling. Yes, Klein can get a takedown. But on the ground, he does absolutely nothing, no shifts of positions, no attempts to submit, no strikes.
4. Clinch. The volume and punches in the clinch are also on Ignacio's side.
5. Lie down and pray. It didn't work out for Klein against Jai Herbert. I think it won't work against Ignacio, who in my opinion has the best defense against takedowns.
It is difficult to give chances to Ludovit against Ignacio after losing to Herbert.

I think Herbert is a good fighter, but his chin lets him down. About Klein's output I don't think it's that bad. I think it's mainly because as you pointed out, when he grapples he doesn't strike, like at all. He goes all in for control and that can cost him like it did vs Trizano.
I do think he has good control though and sometimes that's enough, judges are very back and forth on if they reward lay and pray or not so that's a crapshoot from a betting perspective whether the judges have their wrestling shoes on or not.

I don't think Bahamondes TDD is known at this point it's still TBD and he's a guy that willingly trades shots with his opponents even though he could stay on the outside more if he tried.

Lastly I will say this is not a pickem fight, we're talking about one guy who is a moderate favorite vs a guy that is more than +200.

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 535 Points   |   Tied for 1005th

Sandhagen vs. Font
Cory Sandhagen, DEC
hate that either guy has to lose. thinking cory has more variety and probably wears damage better.

Andrade vs. Suarez
Tatiana Suarez, TKO, R2
suarez honestly didn't look great last time out but i'm willing to chalk it up to "ring rust" and maybe overlooking montana. jessica may very well test her striking, but i think there's a bigger difference on the ground if suarez can find her tds.

Jacoby vs. Nzechukwu
Kennedy Nzechukwu, DEC
feeling like jacoby's typical range strategy won't be as effective against someone significantly longer than he is.

Tucker vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, TKO, R1
momentum, size, age. i'll say lopes finds tucker's chin.

Boser vs. Camur
Tanner Boser, DEC
boser is constant disappointment but camur just always looks so iffy that i can't justify picking him until i see a real corner turned.

Bahamondes vs. Klein
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R2
not confident that klein will be able to safely close distance.

Barcelos vs. Phillips
Raoni Barcelos, DEC
i'll take my risk here. kyler has taken down almost all of his ufc opponents but i think he'll have a hard time doing so here. raoni might be able to scramble on him and gain position.

Wells vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, TKO, R3
first round i expect wells to look like a contender, but i think harris can weather the storm and capitalize once jeremiah burns some gas.

Quarantillo vs. Jackson
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
r1 jackson rushes in and gets on top and threatens, r2 same gameplan but billy escapes and starts to rack up some shots, r3 damon pushes but can't find the top position and billy just keeps chipping. split decision that could go either way.

Hadley vs. Durden
Jake Hadley, SUB, R2
seems like it'll come down to who can be smarter in the scrambles. stylistically seems to favor hadley.

Woodson vs. Buzukja
Sean Woodson, TKO, R2
dennis is gonna have to land big early because otherwise he might get stuck in boxing range.

Osbourne vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R3
ode might just blast him with something big, but otherwise i guess i'll say that asu finds his entries and does his best to drag ode around.

Andrade vs. Suarez
Jéssica Andrade, DEC
Dawg or pass

Jacoby vs. Nzechukwu
Kennedy Nzechukwu, TKO, R1
Again, u2.5. Betting on violence. FOTN potential

Tucker vs. Lopes
Gavin Tucker, DEC
Dawg or pass here. Fading the emo Brazil cut, honestly.

Boser vs. Camur
Tanner Boser, TKO, R2
u2.5. Don’t know what we’re getting from Aleksa after 2 years.

Bahamondes vs. Klein
Ignacio Bahamondes, SUB, R2
I like Ludo getting clipped, panic wrasslin’, then getting choked. u2.5. Baha as a parlay piece.
HADLEY/BILLY Q/BAHA is my 3 way parlay this week at +250

Barcelos vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
Pass.

Wells vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, TKO, R1
Betting on violence here w/ the u2.5. Had Wells earlier in the week but I’m fading his look on the scales.

Quarantillo vs. Jackson
Billy Quarantillo, TKO, R1
Billy Q is anchoring my parlays this week. Love the u2.5 as well.

Hadley vs. Durden
Cody Durden, SUB, R1
Took  ITD here.

Woodson vs. Buzukja
Dennis Buzukja, TKO, R2
Dawg or pass here. Obviously, Buzukja as a late replacement is a problem but I think he catches Woodson.

Osbourne vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
Ode gasses. May bet it live after the first if the lines flip.

a matter of taste
for me Klein / Latifi / Nelson have most boring wrestling in UFC
in my eyes, they don't get points for their wrestling
but judges always see differently

Yeah they shouldn't get points for just holding on to people I agree. We have to adjust to the judges though, they are the ones with the power to decide the fate of fighters any way they see fit. There's no accountability or transparency in it.

It’d be nice if there was a database that covers takedown defenses for fighters, I typically just go through whatever fighter I’m looking at record on espn and see the amount of times they were taken down in each of their fights. It’s pretty time consuming tho, just throwing it out there just to see if anyone knows of such a thing.

Sandhagen vs. Font
Cory Sandhagen, TKO, R4
Rob wins a round going into round 4, Maybe two I think his gameplan really frustrates Cory. But I think Sandhagen lands a unique strike ala the wheel kick. I'll say headkick to ground and pound finish.

Andrade vs. Suarez
Tatiana Suarez, DEC
29-28x2 28-29x1 SPLIT DECISION These odds are way off, Andrade's last two outtings she went up against top tier opponents, Blanchfield is elite imo. I think Tatiana finds success but also is not able to capitalize completely. Great fight.

Jacoby vs. Nzechukwu
Kennedy Nzechukwu, DEC
I believe Kennedy is turning a real impressive leaf. He takes over throughout the fight and almost finishes it in the 3rd. Great outting. 30-26x1 30-27x2.

Tucker vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, SUB, R2
Kimura from bottom, I think it's near the cage and Lopes will be able to prop himself upwards. Tucker taps.

Boser vs. Camur
Tanner Boser, SUB, R2
Arm Triangle choke.

Bahamondes vs. Klein
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R1
Klein times a kick, Igancio times an even more precise counter, dropping Klein out of nowhere. TKO finish.

Barcelos vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, SUB, R2
RNC late 2nd round, Raoni gasses hard, and Kyler does whatever.

Wells vs. Harris
Carlston Harris, DEC
29-28x3 Great fight, I believe Wells aggression will play into Harris fight plan as the fight evolves.

Quarantillo vs. Jackson
Damon Jackson, SUB, R2
Guillotine, after Jackson actually rocks Billy, moreso makes him shell up.

Hadley vs. Durden
Jake Hadley, DEC
29-28x2 28-29 Split Dec. Hadley wins handedly until he fades late 2nd, that's when Durden almost takes over but just a bit too late.

Woodson vs. Buzukja
Sean Woodson, DEC
Wild differences imo, I think still tough fight 29-28x3 Uni.

Osbourne vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R1
RNC

Sandhagen vs. Font
Cory Sandhagen, TKO, R4
Cory's lateral movement and ways to find clever shots is fascinating to watch. I think he overwhelms Font and finds a late round finish.

Andrade vs. Suarez
Tatiana Suarez, SUB, R1
Tatiana is one of the best women's grapplers ever, and in her return in February, she didn't miss a beat. I think she grounds Andrade and finds a sub quickly.

Jacoby vs. Nzechukwu
Kennedy Nzechukwu, TKO, R2
Kennedy is a slow starter, but I think he'll end up finding the chin after a rough first round.

Tucker vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, DEC
This is going to be a great fight, I think Lopes edges it out on the scorecards, I'm just worried about how Tucker will look after being away for 2 years.

Boser vs. Camur
Aleksa Camur, DEC
Camur should take down Boser and lay on him, Boser is atrocious and has some of the worst TDD in the UFC.

Bahamondes vs. Klein
Ignacio Bahamondes, DEC
Bahamondes should outstrike Klein to win a decision. Unless Klein catches him, I don't see him winning this matchup.

Barcelos vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, SUB, R2
Kyler is very good, top 15 level good. Barcelos used to be that, but he's been on the decline. I think Kyler dominates and finds a choke in the second.

Wells vs. Harris
Jeremiah Wells, TKO, R1
Wells has some amazing hands, if Harris can't find an early sub, he's going to get KO'd

Quarantillo vs. Jackson
Billy Quarantillo, TKO, R3
Billy Q's pressure is deadly and I think it'll be the key to a W in this matchup. I think he'll end up breaking Jackson after his gas tank falters.

Hadley vs. Durden
Cody Durden, DEC
I think Durden just dominates every wrestling exchange. I think by the 3rd he'll get gassed and Hadley will have a rally but it'll be too little too late.

Woodson vs. Buzukja
Dennis Buzukja, SUB, R1
My most anticipated matchup of the card, so excited for Dennis to get his shot in the UFC. Buzukja is great and he has some sick wrestling. I think he grounds Woodson early and finds the submission.

Osbourne vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, DEC
Ode is so fluky, I think he can pull off the win but it's hard to trust him. Asu is also just a really good prospect, so I'll go with him in this matchup.
