Let me understand: Cody is done and gonna be finish by Bautista, cause he don't look really good against Trevin Jones in a low strike volume fight and was stunned in the last round, but the same Trevin Jones put Bautista to sleep when they fought at UFC 259 (2nd Round Knockout).

@Amettxpc - if you watch Bautista’s fights in subsequent order, you begin to see how he improves drastically with every single fight. I expect a newer better version of Bautista coming for the finish. Bautista ‘got caught’ while Cody kept ‘getting caught’, meaning a flaw or in his defense or a glass jaw (or both)

I agree with the fact that Bautista has evolved a lot in his last fights especially with his performance against Kelleher, but as I said in the original thread of the UFC Event in August 19 (before they announced that on the date UFC is going to make a PPV in Boston), Bautista has developed many of his skills as a wrestler and transitions in the ground but Garbrandt has a really good wrestling base and underrated Submission defense. And although as you mention, the scenario that someone is going to be caught on feet is very likely, watching the Bautista fight against Cannetti and 2nd Round Garbrandt Performance vs. Trevin Jones, I wouldn't be surprised if both fighters are looking to take the fight to the ground and assert themselves in the wrestling/grappling department. In my opinion, it is a scenario similar to that of Yanez vs. Font and Munhoz vs. Gutierrez. A young name in a good win streak gonna fight an established name but not having a good time: if Garbrandt wins in convincing form he'll probably fight a Top 10 and UFC gonna re-launch him as BW contender again, but if Bautista won will have a win over a former UFC Champ and a Top 15 matchup after this.

P.S: I think something to note is that maybe Trevin Jones has a 1-4 (1 NC) UFC Record but, he has KO win over Timur Valiev (Overturned by a Marihuana positive test after took a fight on short notice) and KO win over Mario Bautista (a fighter in 4 fights win streak and relatively close to the Top 15) and his losses were against Cody Garbrandt, Raoni Barcelos, Javid Basharat and Saidyokub Kakhramonov (really good opposition). On a 4-fight losing streak Trevin is still in the UFC due to facing a former UFC Champ on short notice, but the point is I don't think he's a bad fighter as a 13-10 (1 NC) might suggest and he had several matchups in the UFC that were canceled like against Mana Martinez, Tony Kelley, Aaron Phillips and Randy Costa, if those fights had come, he would probably have a much better record than 1-4 (1 NC) in UFC: Jones isn't a contender, but isn't a tomato can.

Bautista has really gone under the radar for me.  I never really paid attention to him until recently.  I guess that the UFC has so many cards that I lose track.

@Amettxpc - yes Cody has a wrestling base, but if it was superior, he would be using it offensively more often as a dominant strategy. His true advantage is the speed of his punches,  and is why Trevin & Assuncao (counter strikers) had  problems with him.
Since Bautista implements grappling as a main strategy, it would not make sense to me that Cody will all of a sudden decide to be a wrestler majority of the fight and test out his abilities

Despite the various TKO losses I think Cody Garbrandt's reflexes are still very good: Hence the fact that most of Jones's punches didn't land in the first 2 rounds. Although it is obvious that it is not easy to rely only on Head Movement and reflexes during all rounds due to the fatigue factor.

Apart from the great throwing speed, Garbrandt also has good counters with the overhand right and right hook that had a lot to do with Trevin Jones only going to Kill or be killed in the 3 Rounds when Garbrandt looked more tired (besides the neck issues in the last week of his tranning camp). Garbrandt wrestling looks really good in the second round vs. Jones and also against Font until he got tired late in the second round.

In my opinion if Cody works more on ground and pound and rear-naked choke offense he can be a great threat not only on striking but also when taking opponents to the ground. When Overeem moves to Elevation Team his ground and pound technique evolved a lot, it's never too late to continue evolving as a fighter.

Zhang vs. Lemos
Amanda Lemos, TKO, R3
Lemos will feint from the outside, pick Wheli apart with leg kicks and her sharp jab. The feints are going to keep Wheli guessing as they did against Rose. She will be gun shy as Lemos is going to be faster and more precise with her shots. If Wheli doesn’t impose wrestling..I see Lemos making her pay by the 3rd round.

Aljo Vs Sean Aljo round 2 submission, Sean will definitely be drilling takedowns for this fight but I don’t think it’s gonna help him much I think Aljo is gonna shoot as soon as possible and get the backpack in on o Malley, then I see Aljo getting the early round 2 RNC
